River Levels

CHANCE FOR STORMS - scattered storms

Red = Dangerous Levels. Orange = Extreme Caution. Yellow = Caution. Green = Safe Levels
                                                    * = 8.40ft and above.  * = 7.75ft to 8.39ft   * = 6.30ft to 7.74ft   * = 5.75ft to 6.29ft   * = 5.74 and below

GREEN - Safe for all recreational activity. 
YELLOW - Tube, canoe, kayak floating okay with caution, not recommended for wade fishing.
ORANGE - Skilled floating by canoe or kayak. not recommended for tube floating, not safe for wade  fishing.
RED - No on or in water recreational activity. River is high and moving very fast.

(In no way are these river level cautions official. These level settings and caution are of my own opinion) 
(I do have 35+ years wade fishing & floating the Kish, so please trust me.)
(It should be noted that the Kishwaukee River perfect wading level is 6.00ft and below.)
